Tourists rejoice at the paddy planting festival (Video)

- 15th Asare Festival or Paddy Day has been celebrated in Pokhara under the auspices of Pokhara Tourism Council.

Ropai Mahotsav is celebrated in 10 ropani area of ​​Pokhara Metropolitan City-25 Hemja Mainsthan. There was significant participation of domestic and foreign tourists in the festival.

During the festival, rope pulling, hour breaking, running, fishing in the mud and other competitions were conducted. The participating tourists were seen happily walking in the mud with the Nepalis.

Pom Narayan Shrestha, vice-chairman of the Pokhara Tourism Council and coordinator of the Ropai Mahotsav, said that the festival was continued to protect the cultivable land, commercialize agriculture, motivate the farmers towards their profession and convey the message that Nepal is suitable to visit in all seasons.

Chief District Officer Jayanarayan Sharma, Pokhara Metropolitan Deputy Chief Manju Devi Gurung and others were present at the festival.
