In Dhorpatan, deer began to die due to heavy snowfall

Baglung :A deer has died in Dhorpatan hunting Reserve, the only hunting reserve in Nepal.

The avalanche fell in the Dhorpatan Valley due to heavy snowfall in the upper Buki and forest areas of the hunting reserve. According to the Dhorpatan Hunting Office, the forest was found covered with snow in the north.

Ranger Supushpa Regmi of Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve Office informed that the deer died while being rescued and treated. The deer was found by a dog trapped in the snow. One year old dead deer is buried in the pit.

Due to heavy snowfall in the Buki area of ​​the hunting reserve, wild animals in the upper region fall into the Dhorpatan valley to avoid winter. Wild animals have been dying of cold due to heavy snowfall in the lower region. Some animals die of starvation when the snow does not melt for a long time.

Heavy snow and cold has affected people's lives in Dhorpatan area. The section of Burtiwang-Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve from Suprang to Dhorpatan Valley has been completely blocked. According to Ranger Regmi, the traffic has been completely disrupted.
