Surprising increase in the price of Kurilo in Nepal

Kurilo, which was available at 5-6 hundred per kg in wholesale a few months ago, has now reached 4,000. Traders say the price has risen as demand for corona has increased in the belief that it will increase immunity against the disease.

According to the National Potato, Vegetable and Spice Crop Development Center, Nepal produces 1.152 million kg of Kurilo annually.

Especially Bhojpur, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Jhapa, Morang, Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchok, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Dhading, Lamjung, Tanahun, Kaski, Parbat, Nawalpur, Dang, Banke, Bardia, Gulmi, Nawalparasi, Pyuthan, Kurilo is cultivated in some areas of Karnali.
